Work for Residents: The Impact of the Uuras Employment Program

The study explores the long-term impact of Uuras on residents’ employment, well-being, and housing.

Y-Säätiö has been providing work opportunities for its residents since 2013. The operations became more structured in 2018, when Uuras was established as the foundation’s employment program.

The study examines the impact of Uuras on residents’ employment, well-being, and housing in the long term. The goal is to gain in-depth insights into the participants’ career paths and to describe the key events, turning points, and factors that either facilitate or hinder employment and housing stability. This is a qualitative study that also incorporates quantitative data. The research is based on the tradition of narrative inquiry.
