Y-Säätiö’s New Office Premises in Pasila Strengthen Opportunities for Collaboration

In December 2024, Y-Säätiö moved into new premises in Pasila, Helsinki, at Maistraatinportti 1. Nearly a year after the move, it is clear that the change has reshaped everyday routines and brought the work community a much-needed sense of togetherness. Open and flexible spaces increase day-to-day encounters and create new, natural opportunities for collaboration across team boundaries.

Shared Everyday Life Under One Roof

In Pasila, staff work in approximately 1,800 square metres on a single floor, which makes collaboration smoother and brings colleagues closer together. In the previous offices in Hakaniemi, staff were spread across three different floors, which limited everyday encounters and cooperation.

There are fewer individual workstations than before, but this is balanced by a variety of shared spaces such as a working café and comfortable meeting rooms. At first, giving up private offices felt like a major change, but experience has shown that the hybrid working model functions well. Everyone can find their place in the flexible spaces, which cater to the needs of quiet work and hybrid work.

The Maistraatinportti property offers tenants high-quality shared facilities, including meeting rooms of various sizes, a modern gym, a cosy lunch café, and a bright atrium courtyard well suited for larger events.

In addition, the location in Pasila ensures excellent transport connections and plenty of nearby services to support everyday life. Restaurants, cafés, and daily services are close by, and the area’s good public transport and cycling connections make commuting easy.

A Sustainable and Community-Oriented Solution

The interior design also reflects Y-Säätiö’s identity, with brand colours creating recognisability and a consistent atmosphere. Sustainability was emphasised in the choice of facilities, and the property includes electric vehicle charging points, a heated bicycle parking area, and energy-efficient solutions.
