Housing first since 1985. Finland’s largest national non-profit landlord.
Y-Säätiö is Finland’s largest national non-profit landlord. We promote social justice by providing affordable rental housing. We are a public benefit and not-for-profit organisation. We own over 18 500 homes in nearly 60 locations.
We own M2-Kodit and are the landlord of more than 11 000 homes. The fairest square footage in the city means that the rents on these homes do not generate a profit.
Global and national economic phenomena such as inflation, rising costs and high interest rates have challenged the housing sector, including Y-Säätiö. The financial hedges put in place in previous years were designed to cope with these unexpected situations and are now, among other things, helping to contain interest costs. Cost-consciousness has become even more important in our operations,” says Teija Ojankoski, CEO of tY-Säätiö.
