The Y-Foundation group is the fourth-largest lessor in Finland.

At the end of 2017, the Y-Foundation group owned a total of 16,680 rental apartments in 54 cities and municipalities. The homes are Y-Foundation’s Y-Kodit homes intended mainly for special groups (6,528 apartments) and state-subsidised (ARA) rental homes owned by M2-Kodit (10,152 apartments).

The Foundation’s strategic focal point is to increase the number of affordable rental apartments in the next few years. This is pursued both by developing new properties and purchasing existing apartments and properties.

In 2017, a new building was completed in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. During the year, we also carried out repairs and maintained the properties, as well as gave attention to energy-related issues. Elaborate murals were painted at buildings in Vantaa.
