Y-Foundation in brief

The Y-Foundation Group provides comfortable and reasonably-priced homes across Finland. On 31 December 2017, the Group owned a total of 16,680 rental apartments in 24 cities and municipalities. The homes are Y-Foundation’s Y-Kodit homes intended mainly for special groups (6,528 apartments) and regular state-subsidised (Arava) rental homes owned by M2-Kodit (10,152 apartments). At the end of 2017, the Group had 130 employees.

Y-Foundation’s basic tasks

  1. To reduce homelessness.
  2. To increase the number of reasonably-priced rental homes.
  3. To improve the economic and social well-being of the foundation’s tenants.
  4. To influence decision-makers to implement the required social development and provide solutions and information in matters relating to construction, housing and well-being.

Mission

Y-Foundation’s mission is to promote social justice by offering reasonably-priced rental homes and reducing homelessness.

Vision

By the end of 2020, Y-Foundation will be the most significant housing provider and preferred lessor in Finland, promoting its tenants’ economic and social well-being in addition to providing affordable housing.
