Uuras activities provided more than 70 people with work or jobs during the year. The majority of them were our tenants.
A new property was completed for M2-Kodit in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki in Spring 2017. The name of the building is Jallukka.
The Y-Foundation Group provides comfortable and reasonably-priced homes across Finland. On 31 December 2017, the Group owned a total of 16,680 rental apartments in 24 cities and municipalities. The homes are Y-Foundation’s Y-Kodit homes intended mainly for special groups (6,528 apartments) and regular state-subsidised (Arava) rental homes owned by M2-Kodit (10,152 apartments). At the end of 2017, the Group had 130 employees.
Y-Foundation’s mission is to promote social justice by offering reasonably-priced rental homes and reducing homelessness.
By the end of 2020, Y-Foundation will be the most significant housing provider and preferred lessor in Finland, promoting its tenants’ economic and social well-being in addition to providing affordable housing.
